DISCLOSURES - Cookies

I think this site uses cookies to analyze traffic and for ads measurement purposes. I'm not really sure, I don't do techy stuff. I built it on Google's Blogger platform, ask them. I put this here because some IDIOT BONEHEADS thought you needed new laws. Here're some links if you want more information.

DISCLOSURES

Some lawyers stay up at night trying to ruin free society and create new rules. Therefore, here are the disclosures I must have that you probably won't read.

A Nation on the Brink of Civil War... Or Revival... Or both?

A Nation on the Brink of Civil War... Or Revival... Or both?

This is the most amazing article I've read regarding the state of the United States of America. It summarizes where we've been and what lies before us. We have some lessons we can learn. I suggest you reading this.
It’s a difficult Thanksgiving season. The nation is deeply divided, facing serious threats abroad and an uncertain economy at home. An unpopular war drags on, and the controversial incumbent president, after a bitter and divisive campaign, has just won re-election with barely 50 percent of the popular vote.
Welcome to November 1812. The war against the British is going badly. President James Madison, after winning a landslide victory in 1808, almost lost this time around. The citizens of a worried nation, in between the name-calling and rancor, nervously ask one another what exactly there is to be thankful for. Is it possible that the solutions of their fraught age could hold lessons for ours? ...Continue Reading
We must find a way to heal the land. But how? The ideals the two sides fight for could not be more opposite. But are there just two sides? Which two sides? Both Republicans and Democrats are full of Satan's forces, and peppered with God's. The real issues differ depending on which person you talk to. Both sides are filled with Christians who have sold them selves to a party that doesn't truly serve their best interest.

God's platform is not Republican or Democrat. It's not really even "Conservative" or "Liberal". It's God's! When Christians can sit down and talk to each other about the things God wants to see happen for the nation. THIS nation is his launching pad for ministry and ministries to the world. THIS nation will be the source and and funding for the spreading of the message of THE BLESSING and the Word of God around the world.

The Bible has rules about treating people fair, fair business practices, but it also limits government, and authorities. So here's a thought. What if all the real Christians got together to talk... we could either control both parties... or form our OWN coalition government... now that would be an idea!

Darrell's Reading List

Here are some books I've been reading lately:
  • Hacker: The Outlaw Chronicles (here) by Ted Dekker (Author). The story of a young Hacker girl, who went on a wild adventure into the supernatural realm beyond trying to save her mom, but saved her self too in the process.
  • Saint: A Paradise Novel (here) by Ted Dekker (Author). He's an assassin, or is he? He finds a secret to his past that unlocks supernatural abilities, at a cost.

A Memorial Message of Hope

My wife, Flavia Antoinette Wolfe, passed into Glory on 06/25/2018. This is the message/word God gave me.Dealing with Tragedy
When tragedy strikes, we often compelled to ask questions and express doubts:
• Why?
• What if… a thousand what-ifs…
• If only…
• I should have/shouldn't have
• Can God really be good?
• Can the Bible really be true?

The answer to why is simple, hard, and totally unsatisfying: This World Is Broken.

Sin entered the world, and through sin, death. BUT, God. So many powerful stories have a "but God" moment. Jesus came, he conquered death, and through him, our sorrow is lessened, and a drop of joy lies underneath.

"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 New King James Version (NKJV)

You WILL have tribulation. That's just as much a promise as anything else in the bible. Trouble is here on this planet for all of us because of…

Flavia Antoinette Wolfe: Here's what happened...

Flavia Antoinette Wolfe died this morning (06/25/2018) at approximately 2:45 am PST. For update see

The following is meant to answer some basic questions that everyone's asking me. I'd rather send a link then type or talk it out over and over. I'll add more memories and things later as I recall or rediscover. It's a little cathartic for me, to be able to get it out of my head anyway.

The background leading up to this morning:

On May 24, 2018, I got a text with a picture of a positive pregnancy test followed by "So... Boy, girl, twins?"We made appointments, got excited. Flavia was overweight but in generally good health otherwise, so-say-the-tests. However, the pregnancy hit her hard and fast. She said within a month of that test she was feeling like she did when she was six-months pregnant.06/06/2018: She took the boys to get Fro-Yo, it was nice outside, they decided to walk a…

How to cultivate Joy... Olivier's Response

Recently I've been praying about direction in my life. I feel as though the wheels are spinning in the mud and I'm not gaining any traction or going anywhere. Among other things the Lord has started moving me toward praying about studying redemption. I've spent so many years studying the finer points of prosperity, healing, etc... somehow I lost the message of sin, the cross, redemption. Redemption, however, includes all those other things like prosperity, healing, peace, joy, etc...

So now with a new perspective, years later, I need to start a study of redemption from Genesis to Revelation all over again. Come to find out that my friend Steve Wilson has been teaching a class on Redemption at EMIC all the Wednesdays services of most of March and April 2013. As I work on Wed nights with the Youth Group I miss adult service those days. I'm downloading those now to start listening as I begin my own study of redemption.

The Lord moved me last night to re-watch the last 30 mi…

So today was nice?

I woke up late with no where to go, and nothing to do. I think some people call that sleeping in on a Saturday.
My head didn't hurt as much as it usually does. So that was nice.

By about 3pm ish, I actually left the house for a while. Went to Walmart, Sonic, Wendy's and In-n-Out.

It was really nice outside. Cool enough not to feel hot, but warm enough for a t-shirt, breeze outside, 70's?

I did not feel especially down, or moody.

I did the dishes. Several days worth. That took an hour and half. But my wife baked angel food cake, and macerated strawberries for strawberry shortcake. So have two sinks full of dishes again tomorrow, but the desert was lovely.

Other than the errand, and doing dishes, we basically watched Gilmore Girl's re-runs all day. I forgot how much I REALLY enjoyed that show. The wry wit, and comic timing are impeccable, it's so hard to find great writing, directing, and acting like that. Punchy.

Yet... I left the day with the usual empty feeling.
