Every Knee Means Every Knee
"9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:9-11
Everyone... every last person who has ever, or will ever, live is going to bow their knee to Jesus.
What an amazing opportunity to do it now.
No-one could do it before He came. They could only bow to the shadow of the truth, the promise of a child of Eve who was to come. There was a hint of him here or there. He came as a whisper to one, then another... But the masses did not understand him, and when He came in fire and smoke, the masses feared in retreat...
Less people bowed to him in the years He walked earth than shortly after. This is because he came as a man, and He didn't live up to their expectations. Only immediately after his resurrection, after Pentecost, could the Holy Spirit do the work of opening the eyes of people. And more people came to Him in those first years after Pentecost than all who did during his earthly lifetime.
Today He is not yet returned, so we still have the choice to bow the knee to Him, before it's mandatory. The hell bound will bow, but there will be no pleasure in it.
Today, for the few short years we have left until His return, we have an opportunity to bow the knee... to serve Him with our will.
He is worthy...
In other words... will I #BeStillBeLed?
And now I leave you with a question:
What do you think about Grace?
