DISCLOSURES - Cookies

I think this site uses cookies to analyze traffic and for ads measurement purposes. I'm not really sure, I don't do techy stuff. I built it on Google's Blogger platform, ask them. I put this here because some IDIOT BONEHEADS thought you needed new laws. Here're some links if you want more information.

DISCLOSURES

Announcement: Change Complete | Evolution Begins Here

Hello Followers,

Many of you came to me for a variety of reasons. As a Multipotentialite I've struggled with having any real focus. I thought I could get one unifying theme for all of my writing to fit on one site... I couldn't.

Therefore, I am separating my content, writing, studies, etc, into Niche Specific sites. This will allow me to focus on as many topics as I want to; while allowing my followers to pick from only those topics that interest them.

New Site

DarrellWolfe.Com (HERE) is live, and will act as my single point of entry for referred traffic. When I want to tell someone to check me out, I will hand out one card, one link, point everyone into one direction.

I have listed all of my sites (and will continue to list others as my interests continue to expand) on The Hub page. In the future, as I publish books, videos, podcasts, and other material, DarrellWolfe.Com will be the One Stop Shop for all of my crazy ideas.

Where's the old content?

With the exception of Banking Basics (HERE), which I've purposefully kept separate from my name (as I'm still working in that industry); I have carried through the same web template and branding elements into every site for flow and consistency.

Make sure to check out my NEW Start Here/About page (HERE)... to see if this is the blog you want to continue to follow. Also check out The Hub for all of the Niche Specific options. The main ones I will put into this post for your review.

Thanks for your patience as I work through this change.

Here is a list of the Specific Sites I've created for you:

My Blog

Niche Sites

These are sites I built specifically with the audience in mind, in order to provide targeted information and specific topics.

  • Banking Basics for Believers
    • Your inside information on banking, money, and finance... from one Insiders' perspective.
    • Telling you everything you need to know, a few things they won't tell you, and some things they don't want you to know.
  • Your Topos
    • Creating your strategic position of opportunity and influence.
  • LIFE in Review
    • Exploring Family, Fun, and Food (review and travel blog)
  • Wolfe For Office
    • Liberty, Reason, & Compassion
    • If I were running for office... these are my thoughts and views on all things related to politics, policies, and government.

Journals

These are my Web-Journals. When I study a particular topic, I like to tear it apart. I tend to loose notebooks. It's easier for me to post my studies online, then I can retrieve (& search) them easily. These are not written with a reader in mind, just myself. I post them publicly for those who may find them helpful anyway.

  • Towdah Audio
    • My Music and Audio journal. I've been a musician and volunteer Audio Board Technician for many years (off and on). I enjoy music and audio. This is my journal for what that mood strikes.
  • Empowered to Prosper
    • My bible study journal. Unfiltered, fresh from the study room.
    • I typically only post here when I'm getting into a study, but I've always intended to use it more often.
  • AuthorFun
    • My Fiction writing practice journal. I may post daily for a while, and go months without posting.

  • I Have... Ennui
    • One Man's Journey through the vallue of the shadow of depression...

Darrell's Reading List

Here are some books I've been reading lately:
  • Hacker: The Outlaw Chronicles (here) by Ted Dekker (Author). The story of a young Hacker girl, who went on a wild adventure into the supernatural realm beyond trying to save her mom, but saved her self too in the process.
  • Saint: A Paradise Novel (here) by Ted Dekker (Author). He's an assassin, or is he? He finds a secret to his past that unlocks supernatural abilities, at a cost.
  • For a full list of all my book suggestions, see my Amazon Store.

Research: Erase Hard Drive/ Thumb Drive

2: DegaussingHard drives are nothing more than bottles of data held in place by magnetic glue. By removing the magnetic glue, you can create a breakdown of the underlying bits and bytes and scramble them in a way that's pretty tough to recover from. If the degaussing device used is good enough, you'll destroy all of the bits and bytes at the user level as well as the low-level formatting that makes it function as a drive. (If you're serious about data security, you'll use a powerful degausser.)
Although degaussing might be looked at as a way of simply erasing a drive, it's actually a destructive mechanism, though it's not nearly as fun to watch as a shredder.
Powerful degaussers will also render inoperable a drives servo motors and will damage the spindle motor of the drive. It truly is a paperweight when you're done.
A really good degausser is expensive, but it doesn't cost as much as a really good shredder, and it might be enough for your needs. Also, it…

The W Story Structure - 4 Sequence Story Structure

Out of everything I've ever read on story structure for fiction writing, the W-Story Structure makes the most sense to me. If you'd rather view these as Acts (3-Act or 4-Act) you can overlay that on this W and it still works.

Glen C. Strathy writes (in much more detail here) in his article, The W-Plot vs. The Dramatica Model of Story Structure. There are four sequences for most stories. Each of the four legs of the W is comprised of a sequence of events that lead the story along to it's natural conclusion.

Sequence 1: setting up the problem (creating tension)Sequence 2: recovering from the problem (new ideas, positive momentum)Sequence 3: deepening of the problemSequence 4: the resolution of the problem (new light or understanding)

Sequence 1: setting up the problem (creating tension)
The Inciting Event (the event that is at the heart of the reason this story happened) may have occurred before your story begins, and often does. In King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017), th…

Flavia Antoinette Wolfe: Here's what happened...

Flavia Antoinette Wolfe died this morning (06/25/2018) at approximately 2:45 am PST. For update see
http://www.darrellwolfe.com/2018/06/flavia-antoinette-wolfe-and-baby-wolfe.html?m=1

The following is meant to answer some basic questions that everyone's asking me. I'd rather send a link then type or talk it out over and over. I'll add more memories and things later as I recall or rediscover. It's a little cathartic for me, to be able to get it out of my head anyway.

The background leading up to this morning:

On May 24, 2018, I got a text with a picture of a positive pregnancy test followed by "So... Boy, girl, twins?"We made appointments, got excited. Flavia was overweight but in generally good health otherwise, so-say-the-tests. However, the pregnancy hit her hard and fast. She said within a month of that test she was feeling like she did when she was six-months pregnant.06/06/2018: She took the boys to get Fro-Yo, it was nice outside, they decided to walk a…

A Memorial Message of Hope

My wife, Flavia Antoinette Wolfe, passed into Glory on 06/25/2018. This is the message/word God gave me.Dealing with Tragedy
When tragedy strikes, we often compelled to ask questions and express doubts:
• Why?
• What if… a thousand what-ifs…
• If only…
• I should have/shouldn't have
• Can God really be good?
• Can the Bible really be true?

The answer to why is simple, hard, and totally unsatisfying: This World Is Broken.

Sin entered the world, and through sin, death. BUT, God. So many powerful stories have a "but God" moment. Jesus came, he conquered death, and through him, our sorrow is lessened, and a drop of joy lies underneath.

"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 New King James Version (NKJV)

You WILL have tribulation. That's just as much a promise as anything else in the bible. Trouble is here on this planet for all of us because of…
