Submit Your Questions Here

I'm constantly looking for new ideas, things to write about, perspectives I haven't thought of before.

As for me, all I know is that I know nothing. (Paraphrase of Plato Quoting Socrates)

I'm open to new ideas, tools, resources. There are certain things that I hold to be beyond doubt as self evident, but most of life is opinions that get sharp or dull with use and time.

What ideas can you share? If you have thoughts, concerns, ideas, comments, or anything else to share or ask, please leave a comment below.

If and when I can, I'll jump in and participate from time to time. Pack Participation is encouraged, so if you have an answer, suggestion, or comment for someone, jump in (keep it civil!). Let's learn and grow together!

How This Works

  • To Start a New Question Comment On This Page
  • I'll try to answer as I am able.
  • Please jump in an answer your fellow pack members questions!
  • To put in your two cents on a question already asked, reply to that comment!
* I reserve the right to use these comments and questions as examples or fuel for future posts (I'll mask your identity if you prefer). I hope this is a great way to learn and grow together!

Darrell's Reading List

Here are some books I've been reading lately:
  • Hacker: The Outlaw Chronicles (here) by Ted Dekker (Author). The story of a young Hacker girl, who went on a wild adventure into the supernatural realm beyond trying to save her mom, but saved her self too in the process.
  • Saint: A Paradise Novel (here) by Ted Dekker (Author). He's an assassin, or is he? He finds a secret to his past that unlocks supernatural abilities, at a cost.
  • For a full list of all my book suggestions, see my Amazon Store.

The W Story Structure - 4 Sequence Story Structure

Out of everything I've ever read on story structure for fiction writing, the W-Story Structure makes the most sense to me. If you'd rather view these as Acts (3-Act or 4-Act) you can overlay that on this W and it still works.

Glen C. Strathy writes (in much more detail here) in his article, The W-Plot vs. The Dramatica Model of Story Structure. There are four sequences for most stories. Each of the four legs of the W is comprised of a sequence of events that lead the story along to it's natural conclusion.

Sequence 1: setting up the problem (creating tension)Sequence 2: recovering from the problem (new ideas, positive momentum)Sequence 3: deepening of the problemSequence 4: the resolution of the problem (new light or understanding)

Sequence 1: setting up the problem (creating tension)
The Inciting Event (the event that is at the heart of the reason this story happened) may have occurred before your story begins, and often does. In King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017), th…

LIFE Verse Update (See post here)

Think Differently LIVE Differently

Think Differently LEAD Differently

Think Differently LEARN Differently (not yet written)

CS Lewis was a great theologian because he did not have a religious studies background, but a literary and mythologies background. Stories allowed him to dive into Truth in a way that dry study never could.

He used the word Freedom Journey... I liked that. It's not a destination. Not only have I not arrived yet, but I will NEVER arrive. Something things will be catapulted upon leaving this earth, but even then, we will be on an eternity long journey to discover more about God and more about ourselves in God.

Sozo: Salvation, Deliverance, Healing

Study is not about gaining more knowledge, it's about "what do I DO differently?" You can see miracles and still struggle with it mentally. I do! How did he know?

While he was …

FICO Credit Scores | Everything you need to know & one easy way to build credit without paying interest!

Want to build credit without paying hundreds of dollars in interest? Find out in this article.

Credit Building Myths

So, I'm hearing a lot of people say things that are just not true, don't make sense, or are just plain bad advice, when it comes to building credit.

Credit building is not rocket science.
It's true that the math formulas behind the scores are actually akin to rocket science math... But some of the basic things the average person needs to know are actually quite simple.

If you want to build credit without paying interest or creating debt read on, or just skip to the bottom to the conclusion.
I'm sure you've seen this funny commercial:

I wrote a post previously about FICO and Lending Decisions, to tell you how the banks makes the decision to approve or decline your application.

Now I want to bring in the focus a little to some Credit Building basics. The score isn't the only factor used in lending decision, but it's a big one.

What is a FICO credit sc…

Friendship Return On Investment (ROI)

Are your friendships giving you good ROI, Return On Investment?
Thanks to Michael Henry for making this photo available freely on @unsplash 🎁 https://unsplash.com/photos/8TNbGM3iu9o

Shouldn't I be giving selflessly, not expecting anything in return?
I believe yes and no.
After spending time reading works by Dr. Henry Cloud... In the Boundaries series... I've come to a realization.
There're certainly going to be occasions where you will invest in someone because you see their potential or because God asks you too. These may not seem like good investments and they may have no visible return that you can see. But they're good seed into God's work in that person's life and therefore still good investments.
But I believe those are the exception.
In general, those investments above are not friends. Not really. Those are relational, maybe a brother or sister in God's great big family, one of his kids. But they're not friends. I think it's game changing to make…
