Greek gods, Demi-gods, and Fallen Angels

The Fallen Angels are source of mystery and intrigue for many. They really aren’t that mysterious.

Fallen Angels

God created Angels to serve Him by serving man (Hebrews 1:9-14). When Lucifer fell from grace he took a third of the angels with him (Rev 12:4). Some committed acts that got them locked up until judgement day and others roam the earth today.
Some have wondered what happened to the angels from Genesis 6 that came to earth and had babies with the daughters of man. This created a race called Nephilim (or Giants) on the earth. Have you realized by now that all myths are based in some form of reality? Such is the case with these Greek Myths. “Greek gods” were nothing more than angelic beings who came to the race of men to interbreed. This created a true demi-god situation where men of extreme size and power were created. Some may have even been hideous.
The Greek myths actually may give some insight into what those days were like, taken with a hefty dose of salt because they have been clouded in 1,000′s of years of story line and exaggeration.
So if this happened once why not again? The purpose of the inbreeding can be found in the instructions given at the fall.
Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”
Satan/Lucifer knows that the offspring must be a pure bred human. So he begins a DNA manipulation plan to ruin the seed of mankind. This becomes so awful that there is only one human family left on earth that hasn’t been ruined for evil and God wipes the earth of the whole mess. He then locks up those angels for a judgement day to come.
Genesis 6 4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days–and also afterward–when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown. 5 The LORD saw how great man’s wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. 6 The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. 7 So the LORD said, “I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth–men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air–for I am grieved that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.
Jude 6And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day
2 Peter 2:4For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment
1 Peter 3:18-2018 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, 19 by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, 20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
Whole mythologies were birthed from these events. Zeus and Poseidon and the whole mess were tales derived from these things.
There are those who would say that angels cannot have babies because of Luke 20:

Luke 20:31-4135 But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; 36 nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
One could say, however, that this is simply pointing out that angels do not die and is not a reference to their reproductive capabilities.

They ate with Abraham while discussing Lot’s future in Sodom. They made food for Elijah. They do not have corporeal bodies but they can interact well enough with ours that we don’t know if we entertained them or not.

So they interact well enough with our form. It is likely true that they do not procreate among themselves and that their state and number if final. But we are not told that one way or the other in biblical precedent.  Could Angels, being intelligent, use some form of genetic manipulation to have babies with mankind?

Hebrews 131 Let brotherly love continue. 2 Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.
It’s an interesting hypothesis. It certainly speaks to the Greek Mythologies basis in reality. There are those at the History Channel who would have you believe that the Greek Gods were Aliens who came down and interbred with Humans. That may be truer than THEY even realize, but it’s not Aliens from another world, but rather another dimension, the spirit realm.
It’s an interesting Idea anyway… to be continued…

Studies from others. Not necessarily endorsed but possibly useful.
